Too often, we ignore the voices and experiences of those who come from the communities that have been colonized and oppressed.
This is especially true for international medical graduates who face many barriers and challenges to practice medicine in this country.
The first step to decolonize healthcare is to recognize and respect the credentials and knowledge of these doctors who have been trained in different cultures and contexts.
